I am a Hilary supporter. No matter who wins this election I will go into the voting box thinking the best candidate and hope for saving this country has already lost. When Hilary first told America to vote for Barack Obama I was mad. In my heart, I don’t believe she thinks that his lack of inexperience and big words are right for this country either. False hope is the last thing anyone needs right now. However, I see that in her mind, and perhaps my own, any democrat is better than the chance of ending up with any other republican.
Still I could not bring myself to side with Hilary at first. I didn’t care what she said. I wasn’t going to vote, because I feel this race is not about the best man for the job, but rather, the lesser of two evils. It’s not about the man that will bring America back to the superpower it once was. It’s about the man who won’t screw it up anymore than it already is. And sadly, Obama’s lead in the race is not about what he has said or done in his career. It’s because he’s not that other guy. While I am glad that he’s not like McCain, I just don’t feel comfortable electing someone I don’t believe in just because he isn’t McCain.
That was all until Sarah Palin came into the race as the republican nominee for vice president. That’s when all bets were off and I took Hilary’s advice to heart. Still not fully believing in his ability to lead, I will vote Obama for one reason – fear of someone like Sarah Palin in the White House. It is shocking that someone with as much experience as McCain would try to pull the vagina toting supporters of Hilary over by choosing Palin as his running mate.
News flash McCain. She isn’t even close.
As a homeschooling mother, college student, blogger, and writer I cannot condone choosing someone that not only wishes to ban books based on their own religious convictions, but that is so hypocritical they will ban the book, but not live by the one that caused them to ban it.
This is a woman with five kids that she isn’t raising. The pregnant one (Bristol) is not married (which I think is better for her, personally) and getting plenty of media attention. Sure after mom announced it, she wanted the child to be left alone, but maybe she should have had the forethought to not bring it up. I know that they claim it was done because of false accusations by liberal bloggers, but why pony up a press conference if you know it will just do what you do not want it to do? The better response would have been to remind the journalists that are telling a truth that you don’t want announced that kids are off limits. In Palin’s case, that would mean all five of them.
